Strathcona Vineyard

Strathcona Vineyard is a local church established in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. They have a deep commitment to serving those from all walks of life to help them make steps towards Jesus and live out his words and works. It was inspiring working with the Strathcona Vineyard team, especially hearing about the way they’ve been able to serve and invite people from the margins and empower them to find a place of hope, community, and healing.

For their visual identity, I wanted to capture their grassroots and family-oriented nature while giving a sense of groundedness. I designed a collection of illustrations based on their core values using a simplistic form, giving it a hand-drawn, organic feel. Paired with an earthy colour palette and a unique serif font, the end result was a visual system that communicates both their authenticity and connection to a deep faith.
